Apart from that, the new Badmarsh&Shri album is getting really exciting. Lord Kimo has once again come up with some great lyrics for a new track of ours, and we have another track with Kathryn Williams!! Going to be a good 2012, hopefully AND there will a 100m sprint final to check out to

Had one hell of a trip to India. Just got back a week ago. Here is all that went down …….

Worked on a TV show for Star World, called the Dewarists – basically a documentary type music specific show about musicians who have made it against all odds, and I was one of them . Had to go to Jaisalmer, where I met up with Rajasthan roots and Monica Dogra (shair & Func) to work on a collaborative track. To cut a long story short, I created and collaborated on an idea of mine, Monica and Rajasthan roots wrote more ideas over it, recorded all of them (Rajasthan Roots is about 6 musicians playing various traditional Rajasthani instruments), Produced the track, mixed it and shot a video of us playing it on the roof top of my lovely palace converted to a hotel – all in 4 days!! All these 4 days were shot with various interviews with each of us. The whole show was directed by Fred Scott (Mumford & Sons fame) and produced by Babblefish.

This should air on Star World sometime in October or so – very excited! My first intense trip on camera.

Shrilektric

Finally pulled out all the stops and went on to do the first performance ( world premiere ) of Shrilektric in Bombay – on this same trip, after Rajasthan. It was one hell of a job getting it together, but now going to be doing a lot more of these. Featured Vivek Rajagopalan and Nandini Srikar. Here is a bit about it if you are piqued:

Collaborated, played Bass & Bowed Bass, Produced and Mixed a track called Quest for Vivek Rajagopalan. After this I am really looking forward to producing a whole load more music – so bring it on !! Check out the track on Itunes here…
